ABOUT ME

I'm an enthusiastic, driven and creative student with an aspiration to be an outstanding and inspiring primary teacher.

Outside of the classroom, I am an avid photographer, movie-goer, reader and musician. I love performing and listening to lots of different kinds of music from classical on my violin through to alternative rock and metal on guitar. I have a 'fragile' and 'feminine' singing voice although this doesn't stop me from always singing when I have the chance. I suffer a little from stage-fright but I am steadily remedying this with the occasional open-mic night where I can be found singing

I was a member of Suffolk Youth Orchestra for 6 years, was in the University of Leicester Orchestral Society and Suffolk Sinfonia too playing Viola or violin, performing many difficult pieces of music. I am very enthusiasic about music and take any opportunity to play an instrument or have something on in the background be it tinkling piano or growling guitars.

As a result of my musical pursuits, I make use of multiple software packages to record my compositions and performances. The example below was recorded with Garageband and edited using Logic Express, recording both at home in a makeshift recording studio. I also have experience using iMovie, Photoshop CS4 and a number of other software packages.
