An online showcase of reflection, application, appreciation and critique of ICT and computing in the modern classroom.

"Computing is not about computers anymore. It is about living." - Nicholas Negroponte

Hi there. Welcome to my ICT and Computing Showcase webpage!

My name is Ben and I am a student on a Primary PGCE course in the  Manchester area in the 2015-2016 cohort. This webpage, maintained over the course of the academic year will serve as a place for me to show off my ICT skills and knowledge. To find out more about my personal background and work experience, please follow the links in the "About Me" section.

You will find across this website: examples of ICT being used in the classroom, my reflection upon computing and the PGCE course, my developing aptitude and familiarity with some software packages with examples and information about staying safe online.

I make extensive use of computers and computing outside of my studies and use a wide range of software packages to meet my needs. I am experienced in using computers for a number of educational purposes too. For the start-of-course audit taken in September 2015, I graded myself mostly 'B' grades with my areas for development being focused on the cross-curricular integration and tuition of computing in the classroom. Some time spent looking at using technology to develop teaching and understanding of coding wouldn't help either!

Thanks for stopping by!
